Ag drones are simultaneously more mature and more fragmented than many ground-robot categories: airframes commoditize quickly, so differentiation shifts to flight software, analytics, fleet operations, and especially service delivery—contract spray or imagery providers often capture more margin than hardware-only vendors in saturated spray markets.
